Detached house c1845, possibly by architect P.F.Robinson. Original stuccoed building substantially enlarged c1890 with two and three storey predominantly red brick extensions to road front and sides. Formerly named Ardralla, house now converted into flats. Late 19c coach house and stable buildings at lower end of garden adjacent to Huntingdon Drive converted for separate residential use c1970. Original house only clearly identified on stuccoed garden front, three storeys plus basement with late 19c stuccoed extension to left. Symmetrical garden front with pair of flat roofed canted window bays plus single window openings over each bay at upper storey level. Above again, cornice band and blocking course. Moulded stone/stucco surrounds to openings. Later two storey, red brick gabled extension across road front with shaped gabled dormer at centre flanked by oriel windows with half round pediments. Gabled red brick side extension plus brick cladding to former stucco facade of original house. Variety of brickwork/ terracotta detail including moulded half round heads to doors and windows, moulded sills, head and sill bands, string courses, vents, decorative band courses, pediments plus corniced eaves and gable verges with dentillation. Also, festoon panels below pediments on oriel bays. Double pitched slate roof to original house. Elsewhere, mainly plain tiles to roof of later gabled extensions. Red brick and stucco side wall chimney stacks, now altered. Original rainwater fittings replaced and further pipework added. Original square entrance porch and boundary wall on road front replaced by late 19c extension including two doorways with half round overlights. Mainly plain glazing bar sash windows to original house and extensions with a number of alterations and additions. Large stone framed side window with mullions, transom, half round heads and leaded lights. Originally, large terraced garden with glasshouses. Substantial part of garden area now separately used by occupants of converted outbuildings adjacent to Huntingdon Street.
