Detached house c1870, possibly by Hine & Evans architects. Now converted into flats. Earlier flat conversion schemes include plans by Harry Raven c1933 and Starr and Hall architects 1940 for executors of E.M. Green. Substantial part of lower garden area, including carriage and stable building adjacent to Huntingdon Drive, developed for separate dwelling c1970. Original garden area terraced to deal with sloping ground, creating a variety of spaces of differing character and use. Two storeys plus lower ground floor and attics. Red brick with ashlar dressings and plain tiled gabled roof. Two storey gabled bay with large windows added to original gabled end adjacent to entrance area, replacing 2no. smaller stone mullioned windows. Storey height extension added to original canted window bay overlooking the garden. Various small single storey additions abutting north facing facade. Original glasshouse building adjacent to main entrance doorway now converted for use as garages, with plain tile hipped roof. Original pedestrian gated opening in stone boundary wall to Park Valley replaced by larger vehicular opening with wrought iron gates and square stone piers. Red brick facades and chimney stacks with decorative brick banding at eaves and storey height levels. Brick corbelling to stacks and brick patterning on gable. Moulded arched stone openings and canopy to main entrance doorway. Stone window surrounds with moulded heads and splay reveals, stone kneelers, copings and vents in gables plus stone cappings to chimney stack plinths. Much of the stonework on the facades has now been painted. Gabled plain tile roof with clay ridge tiles and lead valleys and flashings. Gabled dormer overlooking garden. Original buff ‘Bishop’ chimney pots plus some replacements. Mainly sash windows, originally, with a number of alterations and additions. Dormer window added.
