Part of a group of nine similarly styled houses on triangular plot enclosed by Lenton Road, Park Drive and Holles Crescent. Built c1865-70, possibly by John Loverseed with architects Hine & Evans. Part of a building also including 1 and 3 Holles Crescent. Original house now converted into flats. Three storeys plus basement / cellars. Red brick facades with stone dressings. Range of decorative brickwork features, including buff brick string courses, band courses of small recessed rectangular buff brick panels and buff brick diaper pattern on entrance facade. Two storey canted window bays on front and side facades with slate hipped roofs. Bull nose brick detail at eaves and gable verges. Projecting brick plinth at base of facades with stone capping. Combination of segmental and semicircular arched openings with stone surrounds to original door and windows. Stonework detailing is generally plain with chamfered reveals, mouldings added to cornice details on bays and main entrance doorway. Shaped stone corbel supporting brickwork above chamfered junction of front and side facades. Stonework now painted. Slate gabled roof with clay ridge tiles and lead valleys. Red brick chimney stacks with stone capped plinth, buff brick string course plus small recessed rectangular panels, corbelled brick head and stone cap. Buff ‘crown’ chimney pots with some missing or replaced. Original c.i. rainwater fittings replaced and further pipework added. Sash windows generally, some with glazing bars. Alterations to original main entrance doorway. Original red brick boundary wall to Park Drive, with half round copings and stone plinth. Large part of original garden excavated to provide car parking area with wide opening formed in boundary wall for car access. No other significant external alterations to the original house.
